PROCLAIM AND LIVE THE TRUTH IN JESUS’ NAME!
We understand God’s purpose for the Powder Springs First United Methodist Church family to be based on two scriptures found in the Bible, the true Word of God:

“Jesus replied, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.’” Matthew 22:37-39 |

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20 |
Therefore, the specific purpose for Powder Springs First United Methodist Church calls us to first and foremost,
LOVE THE LORD OUR GOD.
In doing so, we will PROCLAIM THE TRUTH by reaching out to,
witnessing to, and teaching our neighbors, our community,
and our world.
We will also LIVE THE TRUTH through our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service, and our study.
