PSFUMC
offers a nursery in the basement level of the sanctuary
building. The nursery is available for children ages birth
through 2 years. It is provided every Sunday during Sunday
School and the 10:45 am worship service. On special occasions
a nursery will be provided for the 8:30 am service. A nursery
for
Children ages birth through 5th grade is provided on Sunday
evenings for Praise Team and the Handbell choir and on Wednesday
evenings for Adult Choir practice.
During Sunday School there is one paid nursery worker and two "Heavenly Helpers" (volunteers) to keep the nursery. During worship services a second paid nursery worker is added as needed. The nursery has a sign in system whereby only an adult can drop off or pick up a child.
PSFUMC
has adopted the following policy for the safety and protection
of all our children:
Children elementary age and younger are not permitted to
be left anywhere in the church, including Sunday School
rooms or the nursery, without proper adult supervision.
We define proper supervision as two adults over the age
of 18. When given adequate notice, we will attempt to provide
a nursery for meetings and rehearsals. If it is not possible
to find two workers for the nursery, children must stay
in the room with their parent. It is not permissible to
put them in another room with a video.
If you can rock a baby, read a book to a little one or help work a puzzle you are needed. Volunteers are needed to help out once a quarter, on an occasional basis or more often if you desire. Please call Vicky Simpson at 770-577-0900 or leave a message with the church secretary
